Spring is definitely in the air!
Farmers and produce markets are becoming increasingly popular in Cornwall as consumers seek out local food and drink. There are now more than 30 held regularly in and around towns and villages stretching from Bude to Sennen.
New ones seem to be popping up all the time and the number is expanding rapidly. Most operate all year round and they vary widely from larger weekly events to smaller ones that operate just once a month.
Many stalls feature fresh local produce ranging from cheese, eggs, meat, fish and honey to vegetables, microgreens, plants and herbs. Other independent producers are using the markets to sell their own bread, cakes, sweets, fermented foods and preserves, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There’s a mouth-watering variety to choose from.
Listed below are the Facebook page links to regular markets operating in Cornwall at present (not all are on Instagram). If you know any more, please tell us!
