The sold-out event brings together organisations and individuals working in partnership to create a better food system for Cornwall.
Three of our amazing speakers on the day will be leading a discussion on Food for the Planet.

Joining the conversation on Food for the Planet is Kate Martin of Treway Farm, Coombe, near St Austell. She and her husband Will produce award-winning Pasture for Life-certified shorthorn beef and free-range Christmas poultry. They use holistic cattle grazing principles to regenerate and enrich their soils, ensuring nature and sustainability are at the heart of everything they do.
Conor Kendrew is an agroecologist, adviser and grower, striving to expand ecological thinking into land-based production and contribute to Cornwall’s sustainable food system. He is a farm advisor with Cornwall Wildlife Trust. At the same time he’s establishing Aral Growers CIC, a workers’ cooperative on a two-acre market garden in mid-Cornwall near St Columb Major.
Kate Shirley is a technical sales engineer at Bennamann. She helps farmers to integrate gas capture and cleaning technology to slurry pits, reducing carbon footprint, and providing a valuable off-grid energy source. Kate loves sustainable food, farming, soil biology and community engagement, and is part of Camel Community Supported Agriculture (Camel CSA) in Wadebridge.
