Sustainable FooD Cornwall Summit 2026

Building Cornwall’s good food future.
Our annual summit brings together growers, farmers and other food businesses along with public bodies, community groups and other changemakers from across Cornwall to build our good food movement. As a partnership we have much to celebrate, and the summit is a platform to highlight the successes of partners working to weave food sustainability into health and education as much as it is a chance to explore the amazing work of our finest farmers and growers. We will also need to address the very real challenges faced by the people who struggle to access good food, and those working their socks off to grow food sustainably in a volatile uncertain environment.
Sustainable Food Cornwall is Cornwall’s Food Partnership and we are working hard to support the spread of agroecological practice and to localise our food system. The summit is an important opportunity to progress these goals as well as to provide spaces for you to get your heads together under your own steam and talk about things that matter to you. Please join us to shape funding, plans and projects, explore and develop the good food map and to showcase your work (and sell your produce if you like!)
Expect inspiring talks, energetic discussions, plenty of good food and to use the space and time to network with others working across Cornwall’s food system.
We are finalising the programme which will be sent to delegates before the summit. Meeting rooms can be made available to book for more private conversations – let us know if this is of interest to you. There will be a delicious lunch provided for a small amount (see ticket types); alternatively you are welcome to bring packed lunches and select free general admission to the day. You can book to come for the whole day or an afternoon’s showcase.

99p Films will be bringing the award winning documentary Derek vs Derek to venues across Cornwall this autumn. The film is about two neighbouring Devon farmers with very different visions for the future of the countryside. Dairy farmer Derek Banbury champions intensive food production, while Derek Gow is rewilding his farm and restoring wildlife. As their approaches collide, the film explores a bigger question facing rural Britain: can we farm for food while restoring nature? Funny, thought-provoking and heartwarming, it brings farmers and the wider community together to consider how we might shape the future of our land and food system. We’re delighted to share that some screenings will feature a snippet of our own short film about our Joining the Dots (for Nature) project focusing on agroecological growing in Cornwall.
