Webinar – why civil food resilience matters

Weds 30 Oct 11:00 – 12:00

Professor Tim Lang looks at how the notion of resilience (the capacity to bounce back from shock) can be applied to the UK food system. The UK National Risk Register 2023 lists 89 major risks facing the country – but of these only 1 is food. Many analysts disagree with this assessment, pointing to climate change, geopolitics, prices, ‘weaponisation’ of food (e.g. Ukraine, Sudan) and the fragilities of Just-in-Time logistics upon which almost all food supply depends.

Organised by the Right to Grow Learning Network. Free. Register at Why civil food resilience matters | Eventbrite.
